Chatelaine week

This has been my Chatelaine  week in my rotation. Working on part 4 of White Nights
In St Petersburg.   Maybe another week to get this part done..

This has been keeping me company in the evenings/afternoons while being glued to the Tour de France - only one more stage to go, go Bradley!!!

Only this coming week at work and then off for two glorious weeks - not going anywhere fancy, just a few day trips here and there and watching as much of the Olympics as I can.  Sounds like a might fine holiday to me.

July wipacolypse

Here's where I am at with Twilight...

Have changed up rotation a little so that I am just concentrating on four different pieces. One week on my chatelaine , one week on mirabilia , one week on smalls and two weeks on my haeds.. these last few days it's been my QS Twilight Shimmer, here's where it's at

busy busy

Well this last week has been a bit busy for us all - we spent the weekend down at The Trafford Centre at Manchester which turned out to be really good fun.  Now a shopping centre is not normally where I would choose to spend a weekend but we were well impressed with all it had to offer.

The main reason for going was that I had won tickets a good while back for a couple of the attractions there, namely Legoland Discovery Centre and Aerial Extreme, so we booked a couple of cheap nights in a local premier inn and decided to make a stay out of it.

As you can imagine my 8 year old lego daft boy was delighted with the Discovery Centre, but primarily the shop lol..  he couldn't spend his money quickly enough.

after that we took headed to the Aerial Extreme course which is a treetop obstacle course.  Now I will hold my hands up and admit I am a total wuss when it comes to these things, and I opted not to take part (I didn't like roundabouts as a child, there is no way you would be getting up on something like that lol!) .   DD Neve and DH Lee did decide to go for it, Neve went round as if she was taking a stroll, zipwires the lot - Lee made it round but had a bit of a wobble over the first zipwire - I was trying to film him while not peeing myself laughing .... (which is a bit of a cheek on my part when I wouldn't even try it!) but all in all they thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Other than that we visited the shops, ate well, went to see Snow White and The Huntsman and spent loads..

Also last week it had been my DD's P7 prom  - a great wee night was had by all..

June WIPocalypse

Well we have hit the half way mark and so far I have made a nice wee dent in my WIPs.  I managed to miss out May's post altogether - you know how these things go, days blend into weeks, blend into months and oops we are in June already..

So since my last post I have worked on the following:

HAED QS Siberian Forest

HAED QS Rapunzel

Chatelaine White Nights in St Petersburg

No up to date picture - will do that when next it shows it's face in my rotation.

and started and finished Bent Creek June Zooms (go me, yay!!)

the sun has got his hat on

It's been a glorious week her in my little bit of Scotland and it looks like it is going to last all weekend, best make the most of it - this may actually be our summer lol!

Following IHSW last weekend I had a little finish

Before                                                                            After

Will try my best to actually get this finished up in time so I can hang it up at my work ready for next week.

My dd and I also completed our Midnight Walk for The Ayrshire Hospice and I raised a good wee bit so feeling quite pleased-my legs weren't feeling quite so pleased though come Sunday morning...

For the rest of the month of the month going to concentrate on my HAED QS Siberian Forest. This is where I am starting off from - my plan for this year was to have page 1 of this finished - need to get a bit of a shift on me thinks...

Hope you all have a good weekend! I'm planning a bit of soaking up the sun and it's Eurovision on Sat night - always fun to watch..

Solar system revisited

It's the third Friday of the month so that means it is IHSW again - I'm joining in this month as I have a nice relaxing weekend ahead of me with plenty of potential stitching time just interrupted by a 9 mile walk round Ayr in the middle of Sat night.. definitely having a lie-in on Sunday after that.  I'm planning to work on Bent Creek June Zooms - here's my start

Now the exciting bit of last week for me was receiving my Solar System piece back in the post .. I had commissioned the delightful Mouse to finish it up into a pillow for my ds Joe and she duly obliged and here is the end result and I couldn't be happier - it looks fab
and here is Joe testing it out

Thanks for stopping by, always appreciate it.
