spring has sprung

Well it's been a gorgeous few days here in Ayrshire - hopefully going to last a few more days, off for a walk this afternoon along the beach - my dd and I are planning to take part in a midnight walk for a local charity in a few weeks so need to start getting in some training and today looks like the perfect day for that

Stitching
Now that Solar System is done I've managed to get another couple of pieces back  into the rotation, managed a bit more on Ink Circles "Bramble and the Rose" and then got out an old Mirabilia "Maidens of the Season -Spring", it's been ages since I stitched on a Mirabilia it was so good to get her back out again, I'm really looking forward to spending more time with her .  For the rest of the month I'll be back to working on a couple of my HAED wips.

Off now to catch up with the Malaysian GP - come on Jenson

Saturday stuff

Okay quick catch up of last couple of weeks

Stitching

Nothing new to show at present, ran out of threads for Solar System so put it to the side and worked a bit on HAED Twilight Shimmer. Back into rotation for this month, so working on Chatelaine White Nights from now till 6th, then back to Solar System (hopefully for a finish..)

Did make a couple of purchases though, some routine threads and fabric from Sew and So along with CCN February Cottage and then as I had had a wee win on the online bingo treated myself to a chart I had seen a wee while ago but felt was a bit overpriced - still do feel it is overpriced but as it was free money as such decided just to get it..

winter sparkle by Madart on Gecko Rouge. They have some fab stuff, it was hard just sticking to one .

Non-stitching

A couple of weekends back we went with some friends and the kids and took a day trip up to The Trossachs - it's only a couple of hours drive from us, so we have decided to make more of an effort and get out and about the country a bit more. We stopped up at Dobbies Garden Centre for a hearty breakfast to set us up and headed up to Aberfoyle. There are lots of walks of varying lengths around the forest and loch so we chose a 4 mile one up by Loch Ard. Nothing too strenous but enough to make you feel you had done something.  DS Joe was a bit puffed out but one hot chocolate later and he was feeling a lot perkier.Loch Ard

The Q's.                            Hiding in the woods

Monday last there my friend and me headed up to Glasgow to take the kids to their first gig.  We went to see The Wanted (honest it was for the kids ...!!!) and I have to say they weren't too bad at all - the music is actually quite good and let's face it, they aren't too hard on the eyes ...  Warning eye candy!

That's all folks - have a good week.
