Okay I know we are in the middle of October but this is technically my Sept WIPacolypse post - the days are just running away from me.. I am sure a lot of you know what I mean..
This is also going to be my pre-IHSW post as well, I have a wee sneaky day off work today as it the kids October holidays this week so planning on some extra stitching time especially as dh Lee is at work, ds Neve is at her friends and ds Joe has a new lego set so I won't see much of him.
During September we got a night away with the family down to Blackpool and spent the day at the Pleasure Beach - Neve and Lee had great fun on all the big rollercoasters including The Big One (though Lee did look a bit shook up when he got off that lol!) but me and Joe took a gentler route and stuck to the more sedate rides . I put my hands up - I am a total wimp when it comes to theme parks! Just looking at some of them makes me feel sick let alone go on them... attempted to see the Illuminations at night but hadn't reckoned on them being quite so popular, had to abandon as we were all pretty tired by then. Definitely fancy going back to Blackpool for a couple of days though next time.
Stitching wise I have been chugging away on my HAED QS Twilight Shimmer and hope to get a page finish this weekend..

I've also been stitching on Part 5 of Chatelaine White Nights - there are 8 buildings to do, so far I've managed 1 and started another - every time I think I am getting somewhere I find another little bit to do, I was hoping to have part 5 finished this year but this not looking realistic at the moment.

I started a new start as well - Darth Vader Cookies - which is a freebie from here, Dork Stitch. Hope to get this finished up for Christmas for my star wars/lego daft boy. Stitched on gorgeous sparklies "before the storm".
I took part in the first part of the All Hallows Exchange over on the HAED Addiction facebook group - received a couple of charts which I was so pleased with and planning to do it again on halloween.
Mini Sea of Roses
and
Mini Frost Moon
I am definitely planning a new start in the new year but it's going to be hard to decide what though.
Hope you all have a very stitchy weekend..always appreciate your comments.
WOW Maureen so much stitching and as beautiful as always. Adore the Twilight Shimmer, hope you manage to get the page finished. I've still not got around to the Darth Vader Cookies, you've reminded me yet again.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitching!! You are making great progress!!
ReplyDeletePart 5 took me eight months to do. At the time the project was on rotation, one week a month, if I did nothing else I managed one house a week. I think lots of people give up at this stage. Keep going it will be worth it in the end. I finished the whole thing yesterday just the crystals to stich on now!
ReplyDeleteWell done Jen on getting it finished - one of these days I'll get there!
DeleteLovely progress. Great new charts.
