homers getting an arm

just a quick update of wips:
homer is coming along nicely though taking it slowly as all that yellow gets pretty tedious

I have started this for my cousin's wedding - it is a Scottish heart - a freebie found here

On Thursday me and Ally went to see Diana Gabaldon talking about her new book at our local library - by luck i had been in town the week before and saw it advertised in Waterstone's and quickly snapped up some tickets - she was really interesting and friendly and we did learn that if it wasn't for Doctor Who Jamie Fraser might never have existed! Am now rapidly reading The Fiery Cross so i can get caught up on the series but have just found out that Twilight is going to be the next book for our book club, can't wait for that..

Spent last week in a very snowy and cold Edinburgh, courtesy of a comp win - we stayed at Channings, a really lovely Victorian Hotel in the west end who very kindly upgraded us to a superior room with jaczuzzi - nice.. it was just so good to be away without the kids and just relax with a rum or few..

  1. Lovely stitching :) love simpsons lol so look forward to seeing Homer grow xxx

  2. I've just read all the Outlander books and are re reading them already. They are fabulous. Wish there were more Jamie's in the world!

  3. Sounds like you had a very nice time, and good for you with all that chilling snow! Stitching is coming along nicely.

  4. So wish I'd been there to meet Diana Gabaldon, glad you enjoyed it.

  5. Waiting to see more of Homer!! debs
